His family spent the next few days looking for him, and could only assume he was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the plains due to the painful memories there. Vanuath took refuge in the large cave and found the beat up shield and armor he uses now. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

History: When he was but 8 years old his parents immigrated from the south. In his 13th year, his parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Aelar alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Bellfounder. He hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.

Motivation: He will attempt to ambush and attack anyone he thinks he can take on alone and try to knock them out with non-lethal damage. If successful, he will try to sell them to his slave-trader contact; and a deep hatred of dire rats

Personality: Deceptive and manipulative this northern guy figured out how to best use his charms to convince people to do what he wants. Around other people he will do his best to conceal his emotions and appear jolly.

History: The child of a Weaver, who enjoyed hunting, Hadarai was taken on many hunting expeditions. Being born in the north, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the north for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way south. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his daughters to still be retired.

Motivation: To reunite with his absent mother; and an old rival family wants him found

Personality: He is mildly Elf supremacist, though he does not identify as such. His job bores him to no end. He has decided to make it more interesting.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. Koeth was a troubled youth. He spent his days as a hard laborer instead of attending school, and spent his evenings with numerous mobsters and gang members. Koeth decided he wanted neither the life of his mother nor that of the evil petty criminals he associated with. During his early adolescence, he took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned. He has dedicated himself to building a better world.
