Personality: He likes to make people angry or surprised. Rolen is a bit of a follower. Usually he is manipulated by his sisters into helping them out, but recently he has become more of a free agent.

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his daughters to still be retired.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his sister.

Personality: He has a good heart but also a terrible temper. He will forgive often but not before yelling and berating someone for whatever they have done wrong. He never wears the same outfit twice, unless he absolutely has to.

History: He got into the Guard business at a young age. He worked as a nervous Guard and found it very stressful. He tends to his Guard job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

Personality: He likes to make people angry or surprised. He is a big fan of imagination and believes people should spend more time reading and writing.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when dire rats swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. Through the years after Hadarai was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Hadarai's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

History: Suhnae was born in the north. At a young age he loved to build and create. In his youth he was part of a gang. He got caught, but did not rat out his comrades and served his time in prison. He has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.
