History: Born in the west to a Servant, Naill learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. His family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The mother sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. He saw this and took pride in his mother's willingness to do anything to win. He is untrained/undisciplined, which makes him dangerous.

Motivation: He has comitted a past crime that haunts him to this day; and he feels that his past leaves him morally obligated to help

Personality: He considers himself the protector of his home. He feels this is his duty and calling. He does not trust anyone and sleeps with one eye open.

History: Peren hails from a village terrorized by dire rats. He moved out south to avoid the crime he committed. He has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.

Motivation: Someone believes him a fraud; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by dire rats, and he desires to right it

Personality: Peren hangs on like a leech to those who appreciate him. It was this clingy personality that held back his writing career. He is able to fit into much smaller and tighter spaces than normal.

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his mother. He moved from fad to fad and when he turned 15 he discovered writing. He was granted divine powers by his dying sister.
