History: Laucian was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his mother was employed at, doing general labor. Ostracized due to the necromantic powers of his oldest brother, he and his siblings struck out on their own. In the process these unassuming Elves became a terror of the countryside. He has been saving his money to try and buy his brother's freedom.

History: Trained by his father for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. His father disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his father, he was betrayed dozens of times. He became a Map Maker soon after.

Motivation: He has money and likes to spend it; and he has a rivalry with the church that dominates his actions

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Elves in the south were limited. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

His respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to him, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, he tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in his reactions to snap at those who irritate him, Aelar is combative with any and all who dare try his patience in the slightest.

History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Aelar was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared.
