History: Theren hails from a village terrorized by gnolls. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Carpenter hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by gnolls, and he desires to right it; and he feels the way he acts is they only way to get by in the world

Motivation: His relatives are trying to arrange a marriage; and he doesn't get along with people that don't share his tastes

Personality: He goes out his way to put a smile on everyone's face. There's no-one he won't accept into his heart. The war was a terrible time for him, and Varis does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: Born in the east to a Miller, Varis learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He has worked as a Miller like his mother before him.

History: Korfel lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. In his 12th year, his parents were killed by a goblins raid, leaving Korfel alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He now spends his time doing works of charity.
