Personality: He seems absolutely devoid of it. He stares off into space and will respond with overly literal and minimalist answers to questions. History: Varis hails from a village terrorized by dire rats. His mother disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his mother, he was betrayed dozens of times. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

He tries to control his temper but he can't always stop himself from what he feels what must be done. He has no love for corruption and racketeering and views those as crimes of the highest magnitude.

History: He comes from a rich eastern family. A gifted student he started as a Tanner, but he got bored and became a Mortician. He inherited the family business which he has now maintained for 2 years.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Mortician responsibilities is difficult.

Personality: He is quite rude, and likes to deride his opponents skill and shout insults at them. He refers to his adoptive father for almost all things he is unsure about, which are numerous. He is very much still a child and has not developed a drive for self-dependency.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. Before the accident, he was one of the most outspoken anti-Elven activists. He was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Elven doctor. After a long history of fighting, Aramil and his spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: Regain custody of his son.

Personality: He is enamored with his job. He loves it. He likes the challenge and he likes helping those less fortunate than him. He is vehemently anti-magic. All of it is evil and corrupting in his opinion.

History: He was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for him. It may also be what makes him so good at details. Like his father and his sister before him, after school he went straight into learning to become a Hunter. He struck the Hunter job and began his own company from there.

Motivation: He is unsatisfied with his job.

Personality: He is business-like. He takes instructions and follows them to the letter. As long as the job gets done he does not care how it got done.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Soapmaker. He tends to his Soapmaker job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

Motivation: Someone believes him a fraud; and further expansion of business
