During his early adolescence, he took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

He found a children's book about a Elf Sorcerer who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He is searching for what he claims is his rightful reward.

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Brewer. Some 9 years later his spouse died after the birth of his daughter. Heartbroken, Caeldrim never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his daughter whom he trained as his mother had trained him before.

Personality: Rolen is a sociable creature first and foremost. He loves to listen to people at length before talking their ear off. He can carry on conversation for hours and will do so. He is a thrill seeker, he laughs at people and throws down challenges. He is highly competitive and combative.

History: The child of northern immigrants he idolized his father. Aside from being a slave or a gladiator, there isn't much legitimate work for Elves in Rolen's homeland. Rolen decided to take the middle way and become a bodyguard. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.
