History: Efferil lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. The family's rival house kidnapped his sister with the intent that his sister marry their son to gain control of contested properties. He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.

Motivation: He is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions; and a rival would like him out of the picture

History: A powerful wizard made him what he is. A freak accident while working with his Seamstress father left him crippled. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.

Motivation: He is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs.
