This search led him directly into Fortune-teller work with an outfit from a few towns over. Fortune-teller work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. After months of barely getting by, Erevan managed to ambush a major caravan with a load of valuables. Instantly wealthy, he made his way to the capital under a new identity.

His family spent the next few days looking for him, and could only assume he was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the desert due to the painful memories there. Paelias took refuge in the old dungeon and found the beat up morningstar and armor he uses now. He has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Priest.
