History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Lamlis was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: His mother raised him in a mountain cabin. Arannis was born on a far northern forest where he grew up under the tutelage of his father, an expert Tailor. Recently a tribe of goblins attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. He refers to his adoptive mother for almost all things he is unsure about, which are numerous. He is very much still a child and has not developed a drive for self-dependency.

History: Vanuath hails from a village terrorized by dire rats. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.

History: Naal was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Sorcerer, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Sorcerer in service of a powerful lord somewhere. He found a children's book about a Elf Sorcerer who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Spice Merchant.
