History: Varis was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his father was employed at, doing general labor. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Varis grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Varis. Being a Cartwright kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

Personality: He can speak with the dead, and doesn't see much difference between the living and dead. He always tries to repair and not replace. It was this mentality that drove him into the Cook business.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. His mother was a mechanic, and taught him how to fix just about anything. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

History: He was born on a small isolated farm. His father took him hunting and taught him how to get in the mind of other creatures. He has became unsatisfied with his lot in life, and decided to take up adventuring.
