History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. After a long history of fighting, Ahvain and his spouse have recently divorced.

Personality: Raer wants to be seen as a stoic, levelheaded, noble Sorcerer, so he tries to act the part. He does a good job, for the most part... On top of that he is swayed by a pretty face, and while loyalty to his employer will always come first he doesn't like to hit women.

History: Trained by his father for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. His father was a soldier and died while he was still young. Raer was left his father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Bather. He hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.
