Personality: He is shy and timid. He has not had much interaction with people and is skittish around them. He has a hair trigger and will fly into rage over the tiniest perceived slights.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. His mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Personality: A rambunctious noisy drunk he knows how to make people feel guilty. A fanatic, his devotion to his small selection of gods is unquestionable. He claims to be doing their will and will base all his actions on whether or not they would be pleasing to the gods.

History: He was born in the east, but his parents moved at a very young age to the north. He went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. He now travels the world, in search of power and loot.

History: Aelar hails from a village terrorized by dire rats. His homeland was ravaged by war and he spent much of his life rebuilding it. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: He loathes his own lifestyle; and he's in love

Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic man, Ahvain's first love is himself. His second love is also himself. He is kind towards other men and children and will generally offer men help without question. Others will generally need to prove themselves to him.

History: Ahvain hails from a village terrorized by illithids. At a young age his father died while driving off some illithids. His mother being the stubborn sort decided to stay and helped train him in bastard sword use. Recently a tribe of illithids attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Ahvain fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by illithids, and he desires to right it; and someone believes him a fraud

Personality: He is a Shepherd first and foremost. He believes firmly that knowledge should be universal. His brief stint in the army gave him the idea he was invincible and that he is the toughest man alive.

History: He was born into a rich family. As a very small child his family refused to pay dues to a local crime lord, who ordered them killed. His father, a somewhat powerful mage sought to protect him and cast a teleportation spell that whisked him away. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: He is unsatisfied with his job.
