History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. While studying, he fell in love. They married and had a daughter. He's since become an addict/alcoholic.

Motivation: To prove his worth to the world.

He found a children's book about a Elf Sorcerer who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.
