Motivation: He made a deal with a demon which lead to his current lot in life, and he's becoming increasingly nervous about it; and wishes to resurrect an old love

To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Nutae. Recently he has begun working with bootleggers and crooks.
