History: A child with a great deal of painting talent his parents made sure he got the chance to thrive. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Raer grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Raer. He spent several years traveling with his friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

History: He was raised in a island tribe. His mother took him hunting and taught him how to get in the mind of other creatures. He used his abilities to trick people and travel the world for free.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his sister; and he feels that his past leaves him morally obligated to help

History: The child of northern immigrants he idolized his mother. He became part of the deadliest team of assassins in recent memory. A botched job caused the group to be disbanded. After months of barely getting by, Lucan managed to ambush a major caravan with a load of valuables. Instantly wealthy, he made his way to the capital under a new identity.

Motivation: He possesses a valuable artifact that the thieves guild wishes to steal.
