Personality: He has a massive crush on the younger sibling of the Marshal who has hired him part-time. He is terrible with names forgetting people's names several times before they finally stick; this causes him no end of embarrassment.

History: Varis was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his mother was employed at, doing general labor. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Marshal hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He has recently attracted an admirer that believes he's playing hard to get.

Description: A thin man, he clearly needs to put on some weight, but he still has a lot of muscle. He wears a brown tunic with black highlights, and long yellow pants that bunch up around his shoes. He wears a wide-brimmed hat to hide his balding. His eyes are likewise hazel.

Personality: He is irascible and easily irritated. He is harsh and unforgiving.

History: He comes from a rich southern family. Being born in the south, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the south for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way north. By chance he met his brother recently and the two have been together since.

Motivation: To unite with his brother; and he made a deal with a demon which lead to his current lot in life, and he's becoming increasingly nervous about it

Description: He wears a brown costume with the symbols of death on his torso. His hair is long and white with streaks of silver, and is pulled back with small brown clips. His beard is silver, braided, and well cared for. His skin is flawless and his green eyes scan people very quickly.

Personality: He is very quiet and rarely speaks above a whisper. He is however greedy and will demand payment and proof of collateral's value and will produce a merchant's scale to make sure he is not cheated out of a speck.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. A freak accident while working with his Blacksmith mother left him crippled. He remains aloof and afraid to be himself due to all the ideals others have placed upon him.

Motivation: Retire the richest man in the south.

Personality: He is always cheerful, even with a hangover, and is always willing to go through all sorts of trouble to help his friends. He considers everything a fun event and doesn't hold grudges. He disdains his fellow westerners, claiming they make him look unintelligent just for using an accent.

History: A child with a great deal of painting talent his parents made sure he got the chance to thrive. A few years later when the east was not economically sound they moved to his current location. He now spends his time doing works of charity.

Personality: Aside from being a little slow due to sleep deprivation he is generally quite perceptive. He notices little details and can draw good conclusions from them. He lacks restraint and is impulsive. He jumps in and acts without thinking all too often.

History: Ahvain was raised in a hard working conservative environment. He worked as a nervous Scribe and found it very stressful. He has set out to sabotage the competition.
