History: He was born into a rich family. A serious injury left his mother unemployed and in need of constant care. His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm mother. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: He was born in a small desert village. In his youth he was part of a gang. He got caught, but did not rat out his comrades and served his time in prison. He used his abilities to trick people and travel the world for free.

Motivation: He feels that his past leaves him morally obligated to help; and he possesses a valuable artifact that the thieves guild wishes to steal

Personality: Carrie is a sociable creature first and foremost. He loves to listen to people at length before talking their ear off. He can carry on conversation for hours and will do so. He also is a firm believer in the manly ideal.

History: Carrie lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Being born in the south, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the south for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way west.
