History: Mindartis hails from a village terrorized by goblins. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Carpenter hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to goblins demanding more tribute than usual.

Description: The man speaks with an almost imperceptible accent. He seems to always be the slightest bit damp as if he got out from a pool a few moments ago. He likes to wear tan tank tops with brown pants. He has styled his black hair well, parting it to the right. He is missing an eye and his face is severely sunburned. His one remaining eye shines violet.

Personality: While he is on the job, he is grim and serious. He understands how dangerous the world is and the need to stay safe. His philosophy is that everyone needs a friend and as such shows hospitality towards all.

History: He comes from a rich western family. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Varis grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Varis. He left for the west, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: He is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions; and he has decided he is irredeemable
