History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. In his 17th year, his parents were killed by a illithids raid, leaving Koeth alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: He'd like to take his coworkers down a peg; and balancing his hectic life and new shoemaker responsibilities is difficult
