Personality: Abrasive and pushy, he has a hard time making friends. He lacks moral complications. He does what he is told to by employers but not much else. He spends his money on whatever he fancies at the time.

History: Born in the west to a Crown-heir, Varis learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. In his 15th year, his parents were killed by a giants raid, leaving Varis alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Crown-heir for hire.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Crown-heir responsibilities is difficult.

History: A powerful necromancer made him what he is. His first spouse was a Herbalist, they had one daughter, but his spouse won total custody. Without his spouse to temper him he grew out of control. Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.

Motivation: Regain custody of his daughter; and marry his brother to traveling adventurers

History: His father raised him in a mountain cabin. His psionic abilities were realized during a raid on his village. He was granted psionic powers by his dying sister.

Motivation: To get a good night's sleep; and he desires power and/or immortality
