History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Rolen was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He found a children's book about a Elf Sorcerer who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He spent several years traveling with his friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

History: The child of a Layabout, who enjoyed hunting, Berrian was taken on many hunting expeditions. Berrian liked to wander the woods near his home when he was young, something he still likes to do at least once a week. He never liked modest clothing or shoes, so he would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and he developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. He has became unsatisfied with his lot in life, and decided to take up adventuring.
