History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Rolen was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

A notion that was reinforced by his attractiveness, a trait in which he easily excels the other men of his town. He tends to his Mercenary job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.
