Some 10 years later his spouse died after the birth of his son. Heartbroken, Rael never married again. History: Heir to a fortune, his parents put a great deal of effort into curing his disease. A freak accident while working with his Crown-heir father left him crippled. By chance he met his brother recently and the two have been together since.

History: He comes from a rich southern family. His mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He's since become an addict/alcoholic.

Personality: While he is on the job, he is grim and serious. He understands how dangerous the world is and the need to stay safe. He is often prim and proper but will on occasion tell either really disgusting or offensive jokes, which seem out of character.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. He was an apprentice working in his father's forge. He inherited the family business which he has now maintained for 13 years.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Weaver responsibilities is difficult; and a rival would like him out of the picture
