He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

History: Erdan was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Sorcerer, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Sorcerer in service of a powerful lord somewhere. He found a children's book about a Elf Sorcerer who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He spent several years traveling with his friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when dire rats swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. His family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The mother sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. He saw this and took pride in his mother's willingness to do anything to win. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by dire rats. Adran was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the dire rats.
