The goblins captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by goblins, and he desires to right it

The war was a terrible time for him, and Efferil does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: A child with a great deal of poetry talent his parents made sure he got the chance to thrive. His mother was a soldier and died while he was still young. Efferil was left his mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Carter.
