Personality: He is a melancholic, but persistent worker. He resents family life and as such spurns the advances of admirers. Peren is a bit of a follower. Usually he is manipulated by his brothers into helping them out, but recently he has become more of a free agent.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Peren was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Weaver hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

History: Born in the east to a Bookbinder, Lamlis learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. A few years later when the north was not economically sound they moved to his current location. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.
