History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. Through the years after Ahvain was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Ahvain's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: He seems to be bored by most things; and to end his boredom

History: He comes from a rich northern family. His mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.

Motivation: He is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions; and wants to work out more often

He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He left for the north, certain he would find work there.
