He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. He became a Marshal soon after.

History: The child of a Blacksmith, who enjoyed hunting, Gennal was taken on many hunting expeditions. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. Recently a tribe of dire rats attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Gennal fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.
