He hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. He worked as a nervous Scribe and found it very stressful. Since then, he has sought to make the best of life.

His partner is his best friend in the world. The two are very close despite being more or less each other's opposites. Animals are drawn to him, and he is able to talk to them.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Elven companion (his 'brother'). He now spends his time doing works of charity.

He was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Elven doctor. He has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.

Motivation: A rival would like him out of the picture; and he has decided he is irredeemable
