History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Naeris was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. Through the years after Naeris was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Naeris's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He has became unsatisfied with his lot in life, and decided to take up adventuring.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Motivation: To fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever; and he possesses a valuable artifact that the thieves guild wishes to steal
