Because they were valued, his father taught him to defend himself. When his father died while fighting dire rats, the young Korfel began to lead the lost caravan. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the west. In his formative years he discovered how persuasive he was. He began using that to his advantage selling useless wares at inflated prices. He left for the west, certain he would find work there.
