History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Peren was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He is the most sanctimonious self-righteous Elf in existence. He has a cruel streak; something he gained from his previous mentor. He harbors resentment against his former mentor.

He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Personality: Aside from being a little slow due to sleep deprivation he is generally quite perceptive. He notices little details and can draw good conclusions from them. He does not trust anyone and sleeps with one eye open.

History: His father raised him in a mountain cabin. Like his mother and his sister before him, after school he went straight into learning to become a Cartwright. He hasn't been sleeping well lately.

Motivation: He wants to meet his childhood hero; and sabotage a competitor
