Through the years after Rolen was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Tharivol embodies much of what other species detest in the Elves. He is terrible with names forgetting people's names several times before they finally stick; this causes him no end of embarrassment.

History: Tharivol was born in the north. At a young age he loved to build and create. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: The child of a Baker, who enjoyed hunting, Nim was taken on many hunting expeditions. In his 13th year, his parents were killed by a goblins raid, leaving Nim alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to goblins demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Many goblins want him driven away; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by goblins, and he desires to right it
