History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. Rael was born on a far southern forest where he grew up under the tutelage of his father, an expert Mason. He left for the south, certain he would find work there.

History: The child of western immigrants he idolized his mother. His parents divorced when he was young, and his mother gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.
