He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

History: Rael hails from a village terrorized by brigands. Ostracized due to the divine powers of his oldest brother, he and his siblings struck out on their own. In the process these unassuming Elves became a terror of the countryside. He tends to his Performer job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Performer responsibilities is difficult; and many brigands want him driven away
