One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

History: He was born in the north, but his parents moved at a very young age to the west. He helped his father out around the business and became quite the natural. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

History: He was born at the edge of vast mountains. Through the years after Berrian was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the east. Berrian's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He has became unsatisfied with his lot in life, and decided to take up adventuring.
