History: Raer was born with his father's beautiful face. His mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his mother was legitimate. He has achieved small success as a Soapmaker.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. His childhood dream was to be a Bather, but he was a colossal failure. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

History: Quarion lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. He quickly showed his capability and was soon promoted to a head role. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.
