His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm mother. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: Retire the richest man in the south; and he made a deal with a demon which lead to his current lot in life, and he's becoming increasingly nervous about it

Personality: He has a very dry and sarcastic sense of humor. He is not one for noise or eating so much, which is in direct contrast with his big mouthed big gutted partner. His partner is his best friend in the world. The two are very close despite being more or less each other's opposites. History: He was born at the edge of vast desert. He was a friend to animals and a trickster. In his defense of animals however he would do severe harm to people. After a long history of fighting, Berrian and his spouse have recently divorced.

Personality: He is quiet and anti-social and can barely make it a few minutes in conversation before his hampering stammer kicks in. He receives visions of the future at random moments

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. His arcane abilities were realized during a raid on his village. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: He has money and likes to spend it.
