History: He was born into a rich family. Since his mother passed away years ago, his father had doted on him, and he came to think her himself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by his attractiveness, a trait in which he easily excels the other men of his town. He has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.

Personality: While he acts the brute, he is far gentler than he would appear. The war was a terrible time for him, and Varis does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: Trained by his mother for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Varis grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Varis. He was granted martial powers by his dying sister.

Motivation: He is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions; and he loathes his own lifestyle

History: Nim lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. When he was little, his rather wealthy family often ventured across the forest to a summer home near a old dungeon. He would wander through that old dungeon and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and he was stranded inside. His family spent the next few days looking for him, and could only assume he was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the forest due to the painful memories there. Nim took refuge in the old dungeon and found the beat up greataxe and armor he uses now. He has been saving his money to try and buy his brother's freedom.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. His childhood dream was to be a Assassin, but he was a colossal failure. He tends to his Navigator job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

Motivation: A deep hatred of giants; and expand his business
