History: Paelias lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His parents were killed by giants in a raid when he was still a young child. The giants captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. By chance he met his sister recently and the two have been together since.

His partner is his best friend in the world. The two are very close despite being more or less each other's opposites. He is vehemently anti-magic. All of it is evil and corrupting in his opinion.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. His parents divorced when he was young, and his father gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

History: Gennal hails from a village terrorized by orcs. Through the years after Gennal was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Gennal's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. After a long history of fighting, Gennal and his spouse have recently divorced.
