History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Aelar was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Aelar grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Aelar. He struck the Hunter job and began his own company from there.

History: Trained by his mother for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. He inherited the family business which he has now maintained for 11 years.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army; and sabotage a competitor

Personality: He has schizophrenia that causes him to hear things that aren't there and will sometimes respond to them. He is stubborn though. He always likes to keep a trick up his sleeve. He likes to fight dirty and will kick and punch below the belt if he feels he even has a chance of losing.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. At a young age both his parents were killed in an accident. His uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took him in and had him trained in basic self defense. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: He feels that his past leaves him morally obligated to help.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Hadarai grew up listening to his father's many stories. A gifted student he started as a Layabout, but he got bored and became a Banker. He inherited the family business which he has now maintained for 10 years.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his sister; and to unite with his sister
