History: Rolen hails from a village terrorized by dire rats. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by dire rats, and he desires to right it

History: Uthemar hails from a village terrorized by gnolls. Through the years after Uthemar was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Uthemar's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. When he grew older, he became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. He began work as a mercenary for hire. He would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.
