Personality: He can speak with the recently deceased. Animals are drawn to him, and he is able to talk to them.

History: He comes from a rich southern family. He inherited a moderately successful company from his father. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He left for the south, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: He feels that his past leaves him morally obligated to help; and many brigands want him driven away
