Personality: While he acts the brute, he is far gentler than he would appear. He lacks moral complications. He does what he is told to by employers but not much else. He spends his money on whatever he fancies at the time.

History: Born in the west to a Mayor, Nim learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. Some 2 years later his spouse died after the birth of his daughter. Heartbroken, Nim never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his daughter whom he trained as his father had trained him before.

Personality: He is very quiet and rarely speaks above a whisper. He does not believe in violence as a means to an end. He is a dedicated Brewer but believes his peers are too gung-ho.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. Carrie was born on a far western desert where he grew up under the tutelage of his mother, an expert Brewer. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.
