However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the illithids.

Personality: Paelias is depressed about a lot of things. He tends to be a nihilist. He is kind towards other men and children and will generally offer men help without question. Others will generally need to prove themselves to him.

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. His first spouse was a Barrister, they had one son, but his spouse won total custody. Without his spouse to temper him he grew out of control. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Barrister they were divorced and he won custody of their son. He worked as a Unemployed, and he later adopted a second son.

Motivation: Marry his brother to traveling adventurers; and doesn't want to be a unemployed and was forced into it by his family

History: Born in the south his family was never financially stable. Naal was a troubled youth. Naal decided he wanted neither the life of his father nor that of the evil petty criminals he associated with. During his early adolescence, he took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned.
