Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by gnolls. Laucian was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the gnolls.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his sister; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by gnolls, and he desires to right it

Ostracized due to the arcane powers of his oldest brother, he and his siblings struck out on their own. In the process these unassuming Elves became a terror of the countryside.
