History: A powerful slaver made him what he is. In his 16th year, his parents were killed by a gnolls raid, leaving Carrie alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. After a long history of fighting, Carrie and his spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by gnolls, and he desires to right it; and someone believes him a fraud
