History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. At a young age both his parents were killed in an accident. His uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took him in and had him trained in basic self defense. He has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.

Motivation: He has comitted a past crime that haunts him to this day.

Personality: He is a pretentious jerk insisting that modern society is full of problems and should revert to a simpler time. He does not regard money as being a problem because it has never been a problem for him. He lives in a bit of an ivory tower believing all problems are one quick intervention away from being solved.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Paelias grew up listening to his father's many stories. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. After a long history of fighting, Paelias and his spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions; and he wants to meet his childhood hero

Personality: He is business-like. He takes instructions and follows them to the letter. He has a habit of throwing himself into exceedingly dangerous situations.

History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the east. From his teen years he was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on him. He found several beat up suits of armor and, cannibalizing spare parts, he put together a working one.

Motivation: He is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs; and to prove his worth to the world

Personality: He is always cheerful, even with a hangover, and is always willing to go through all sorts of trouble to help his friends. He considers everything a fun event and doesn't hold grudges. He is submissive, is generally bored by everything, but will take part in whatever people ask of him. He is by nature obliging.

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Motivation: Wants to have a good time and be beloved; and he has money and likes to spend it

Personality: He is inclined to make off color jokes and interpret anything that could be construed as such as innuendo. He believes the world needs to unite to get rid of gnolls once and for all.

History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Erdan was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. Before the accident, he was one of the most outspoken anti-Elven activists. He was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Elven doctor. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.
