He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

Personality: While he is on the job, he is grim and serious. He understands how dangerous the world is and the need to stay safe. He does not believe in violence as a means to an end. He is a dedicated Performer but believes his peers are too gung-ho.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious western family, he was no stranger to responsibility. In his 17th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. Personality: He is quiet and anti-social and can barely make it a few minutes in conversation before his hampering stammer kicks in. He believes the world needs to unite to get rid of giants once and for all.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious eastern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. At some point he was captured by giants and was tortured. After several years of this he finally managed to escape. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by giants. Efferil was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the giants.
